Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website (adapanos.com) is operated by Adapanos Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17167951). Our registered office is 483 Green Lanes, London, N13 4FG, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the limited personal data described below.

Adapanos Ltd is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC151922.

This is a company information site. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no forms, so there is nothing here to register for and almost no personal data for us to collect. This policy explains the little that we do process, and what we deliberately do not.

2. What we collect

There are only two ways this site involves your personal data:

• Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string. We use these only to keep the site secure and working, and to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use them to build a profile of you or to identify you personally. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
• Emails you send us. Our Contact page offers email links rather than a form. If you choose to email contact@adapanos.com, we receive whatever you put in that email (typically your name, your email address, and your message) and we use it solely to reply and to keep a record of the correspondence. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

3. What we deliberately do not do

We have kept this site as privacy-respecting as we can. On this website:

• We do not set cookies, and we use no analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising technologies.
• We do not embed third-party content that would report your visit elsewhere. Fonts are served from our own site, not a third-party font CDN, so your browser does not contact any other company to render the page.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data, and we do not use it for profiling or automated decision-making.

For performance, your browser may keep a local copy of the site's files (via a service worker) so it loads faster on return visits. That cache lives on your device, contains no personal data, and is never sent to us.

4. Who else is involved

The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Google serves the site's files through its global content-delivery network and processes the server logs described in section 2 on our behalf, under Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Because the network is global, files may be served, and logs processed, in locations outside the UK; where that happens it is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into Google's terms.

If you email us, that message is held in our mailbox on Google Workspace, again under Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum and the Standard Contractual Clauses. Unlike the site's own files and logs, mail is not tied to a particular region, so Google may store and process it wherever its Workspace service operates. Apart from Google, we use no other processor for this site.

5. How long we keep it

Server logs are short-lived operational records held under our hosting provider's standard retention (Google documents a period of a few months for Firebase Hosting request logs) and used only as described above. Emails you send us are kept for up to 2 years after we have dealt with your enquiry, then deleted.

6. Security and data breaches

The site is served over HTTPS, and we hold very little personal data to begin with (short-lived server logs and any email you choose to send us). If we ever became aware of a personal data breach that was likely to put your rights at risk, we would report it to the UK Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours and let any affected people know as soon as we reasonably could.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to our processing, and to data portability. Given how little we hold (short-lived server logs and any email you have chosen to send us), the practical way to exercise any of these is to email contact@adapanos.com and we will respond within the time UK GDPR allows (normally one month).

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
